Safeguarding
We have trained Designated Safeguarding Leads in the school.
They are: Ms N Rahman (Assistant Headteacher), Mr A Davis (Pastoral Support and Behaviour Manager), Ms M Hall (Attendance and Welfare).

If you have any safeguarding concerns please call 0208 5048216 and ask to speak to any of the staff listed above.
Alternatively, please e-mail admin@westhatch.net and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

Urgent child protection concerns should be reported to: Essex County Council or the Police: If a child or young person is in immediate danger, call 999.

If you're worried that a child is being abused or neglected, call Essex Council on 0345 603 7627.

Out of hours or bank holidays, call the emergency duty team on 0345 606 1212.

You can also report a concern using the Essex Council online Request for Support form.

You can find out how to make an effective request for support on our examples and guidance page.

You may want to report a concern if you:

  • are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child
  • suspect neglect or abuse
  • would like to report an incident
  • are a child or young person who needs support

You can also report abuse of an adult, by getting in touch.

Essex Police: Call 999 if there is immediate danger or if a crime is being committed.
